Penguicon’s success is due to our diverse community of volunteers that shares their time and talents. Volunteering is a wonderful way to help Penguicon happen and give back to the community. We would love for you to join our team!

How to Get Involved

Virtual Penguicon has two roles that we need your help with: Moderation and tech support.

• Virtual meeting space moderators will help make sure our virtual gatherings maintain our community guidelines and make sure they are a welcoming environment for everyone.
• Panel moderators will help panelists make sure questions are addressed, keep the panel a welcoming environment, and to make sure that no one is talking over each other and that Zoom etiquette is maintained.
• Tech support will make sure that our community is able to stay connected and has help if something isn’t working correctly.

Everyone will need to attend a training session for each volunteer role. These will be held throughout the end of March and beginning of April. Dates and times for the sessions will be announced as soon as possible.

Note: In order to volunteer for Penguicon 2021, you must be at least 18 years of age.

Volunteer hours are on a first come first serve basis.

Because this year’s roles require prior training, last minute sign-ups won’t be possible. Please contact [email protected] as soon as possible if you are interested in volunteering.
